RECENT ACTIVITIES.

GIRLS' LIFE BRIGADE.

Now that the annual camp is over, the Girls' Life Brigade activities are in recess for the remainder of January, though other sections of the movement are still working.

During the past week executives of the boys' and girls' brigade movements met and finalised arrangements for a combined Centennial church parade in the Town Hall to be held on the afternoon of Sunday, April 7. It is estimated that there will be approximately 1400 boys and girls from both movements at that function. This will' be a departure from the general rule that the life boys and the cadets— both juniors of their respective organisations—should combine with the senior sections of the brigades. However, it has been decided to create a precedent on this occasion.

The Governor-General, Lord Galway, and L*dy Galway, and the Mayor, Sir Erneet Davis; have been invited to be present. Arrangements are also under way for the use of two bands, one to precede each procession—boys and girls. Colours will also be carried.
