Attractive Wedding.

POOLE— STEPHENS. GOWN OF IVORY SATIN. At the Titt Street Methodist Church on Thursday evening the wedding t<\ok place of Miss Kuth Lorraine Stephens, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Stephens (lute of Gisborne), and Mr. Kelvin George Poole, onlv son of Mr. and Mrs. (i. S. Pool*, of One Tree Hill. The wedding was solemnised by the Rev. E. T. Olds. Mr. A. Bryant presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a l>eantiful gown- of ivory satin cut on classical lines. The l>odice waa shirred to the waistline and the skirt fell in graceful folds to form a scalloped train caught with orange blossoms. She wore a hand embroidered veil mounted on a tulle niched coronet and carried a sheaf of ivory gladioli and orange blossoms. The bridesmaids. Miss Joy Stephens and Miss Ksnie Stephens, wore lavender tulle over taffeta, with niched necklines and shirred bodices. They also wore Dolly Varden hats made of clusters of violets finished with lavender tulle niched on the-.edge*. .Shower lnniqiiets of lavender delphiniums and gladioli were carried. The bridegroom was attended iby Mr. Alan Bartley as U'st man and Mr. John Barton as groomsman. The reception was held at the Domain Kiosk, where about 50 guests were entertained. The bride's mother, Airs. J. P.

Stephens, received her guests wearing a black ring velvet ankle-length frock, with net applique yokeline, with a small toque hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of pink carnations and maidenhair fern. Mrs. G. S. Poole wa* wearing a maroon frock, with hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of cream carnations.
