OBITUARY.
MR. R. G. LEWIS. A former well-known Hamilton resident, Mr. Robert Glynn Lewis, has died in Auckland at the "ajre. of 70. Born in Wales. Mr. Lewis wa* educated at Rucrby School, where he was a member of the Rugby first fifteen and the cricket eleven. After leaving school he entered the Imperial Army, and, at the bejrinJiinjf of the century, came to N\nv Zealand. For some time he was occupied coaeh-driving on the Coromandel Peninsula. He afterwards secured the license of the Waihou Hotel, and later farmed at Okoroire for about 15 years, being a prominent Jersey cattle breeder. About 14 years ago he moved to Hamilton. Mr. Lewis cook a keen interest in trotting, and about 1912 owned several w<»l] known trotters. Hβ is survived by hi? widow, a eon and a daughter.
