SPORTSMEN ENLIST.
CRICKETERS AND ATHLETE. Three members of Auckland senior pricket elevens enlisted with the Artillery yesterday. They were W. N. Carson (Kden), Fred Clark, the New Zealand hockey skipper (Ponsonby- Balmoral), and W. S. Douglas (Middlemore). Another to join up yesterday wae D. V. A. Flett, who in 1938 dead-heated for the Auckland provincial 100 yards championship with M. C. Baker. He has represented Auckland in Rugby, and was an original member of the Barbarians' Club.
