A large wooden hayehed at Wesley College, Pacrata, was destroyed by a fire which l>roke out late yesterday afternoon, a large quantity of the baled hay stacked inside also being lost. As it was feared in the early stages of the tire that the flames would nearby house the Pukekolie Fire Brigade was summoned. Although the only water supply available was a trough, from which the water -was carried in buckets, members of the brigade, assisted by the college staff, succeeded in saving some of the hay.
