AFTER SIX ROUNDS. * N.Z. BOWLING TOURNEY. BREMNER LOSES TO RAMSAY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. The six undefeated -teams at the conclusion of to-day's section play in the rinks cliampionssiip of the New Zealand bowling centennial tournament are:—o. Silbery (Pet,me), A. Dickinson (Avon, Stratford), i\ G. Hazelwood (Lyall Bay), W. F. Had win (Hutt), W. D. Ramsay (Shirley) a.nd P. Munn (Canterbury). The greens were holding slightly after last night's rain, but under the cdrcumHtances ran well and a good standard of play, with many tight games, was witnessed. i Munn, who was associated wit/h E. Hmworth in his rink triumph of 1937 at Wellington, has a nicely-balanced rink, wliioh deserved its place among the six undefeated teams. Dickinson's rink is teaming well, and it mmst be remembered that Dickinson played well in the 1937 tournament. I Silbery was in the semi-final in the ! 1937 rinks. I Hazel wood skips a good solid rink, wliile Had win and Ramsay have quite good Wellington and Canterbury performances respectively to their credit. Specfrman Also Goes Down. C. Spearman (Sydenham) and W. Bremner (West End, Auckland), who were boffli undefeated at the end of Saturday's play, each suffered one loss to-da.v. Spearman, (however, is <?tiil the leader in his section, but in section K Ramsay has six wins, against Bremner's five. Bremner went down to Raansay in the sixth round, i 9-22. A former Dominion singles champion, Spearman was vanquished in the fifth round by Livingstone (Oneluinga), also a previous singles title holder, by 23—21. In a number of sections play is left in a very interesting position—in many instances t'lie highest number of wins is four, with several skips tying. There was again some high scoring to-day, .T. B. Lawl'ie (Island Bay) registering 43 against his opjwwient's 17. The vagaries of tllie game were seen in the contest between H. Wright (St. Helier's) and J. Belch.-r (Napier), when the latter secured seven counters on the third end. However, on the next 12 ends Belcher scored only three, all singles, wnd eventually went down to Wright 21 —27.
