BULK WHEAT PURCHASE.
AUBTRALIA BELLS TO BRITAIN. FLOUR OFFER ALSO ACCEPTED. (Received 12 noon.) ADELAIDE, this day. The Minister of Commerce, Senator McLeay, has announced that the British Government has accepted the Australian Wheat Board's offer for the purchase of 56,000,000 bushels of wheat and 150,000 tons of flour. A London cable states that the Ministry of Food announces it has reached an agreement with the Australian Wheat Boatd to purchase 1,050,000 tons of wheat and flour. Shipping arrangements are in hand and loading has been begun. It is expected that the return to the Commonwealth for the season's wheat crop will be £9,500.000.
