ROUSING FAREWELL.

WAIKATO SOLDIERS.

HAMILTON PARADE.

(By Te'egrapn.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Waikato members of the Special Force for overseas service paraded through Hamilton at mid-day on their way to the station to entrain for Hopuliopu and Papakura, and wero given a rousing farewell by a large crowd. Captain L. L Day led the parade, and Lieutenant-Colonel R. D. McFarland, who at the end of the last war was Officer Commanding the Waikato Regiment, took the salute. Associated with him were Lieutenant H. H. McDonald, N.Z.S.C, •• staff officer, Major E. &V Mackcrsey, 0.C., Ist Battalion, the Waikato Regiment, Captain F. M. Yendell, O.C. Second Medium Battery, and Major W. J. Collins, O.C. Waikato Mounted Rifles. The troops were farewelled at the et&tion by the deputy-Mayor, Mr. F. Findlay.
