A resident of Church Street, Devonport, who has a large well, has verykindly permitted ecores of residents to help themselves to the beautiful pure water that the well euppliea. Even in the holidays he ha* left the pump and well open to the public f:>r the whole time. We are still told that there i 3 nothing wronjr with the water supplyThen why is it dozens of people are suffering sicknese and stomach trouble, caeee of which you can hear every day. Mr. Meikle should take a walk round to the well and hear the complainte for himeelf. I am predicting a very hot couple of months' weather, and 'down will go the level of the lake, and the lower it srets the -worse the -water becomes. I think it is up to the Government to send out the Health Department officials to the lake and see for themselves and a general inquirv held before it is too late. WATER DRIXKER-
