LONDON, November 25.

Count John McCormack, who sang his farewell in London last year, while hundreds of women wept, hae come out of liie retirement to help Britain in the war.

The 55-year-old tenor whose voice has been heard all over the world for a quarter of a century sang this week at Manchester in aid of the Red Cross. And his voice will be heard again soon in London. All through the winter he will go from place to place.

"When I retired from concert work last year," he said thie week, "I never dreamed I should so soon be making such a strenuous tour. But I want to show in a practical way my sympathy for of Chopin, Paderewski and Kosciueko— -tlisy were all Poles."
