CHRISTMAS DINNER.
SOLDIERS AT HOFUHOPU.

fc HAMILTON, Tuesday. About 60.men remained on dutv at the Hopuhopu camp, Xgaruawahia,'during the Christmas holidays. A special Christmas dinner was provided for them by the Ngaruawahia Red Cross Society and the Ngaruawahia branch of the women's division of the Farmers' Union, while parcels of gifte, received from patriotic committee* of the district, \were distributed. Many of the men went to Raglan for & picnic on Monday afternoon. The camp commandant, Major Sinclair C. Reid, hae conveyed Christmas greetings on lwhalf of the camp staff and the men to those who have generously assisted in entertaining the men of the first echelon of the Special Military Force during their three months , stay at Hopuhopu.
