DUNEDIN, thie day,
News of the death in France of Miss Ellen Francos Duvidson has been received by oablo from the Under-Secretary for War. Miss Davidson, the only daughter of Mr. unrl Mrs. R. E. Davidson, of Duneclin, wns a member of the Girl Guides and Tramping Club.
In Febriiiirv ln*t she left for a holiday in C'nniifin mul the United States, and shortly before war broke out aiTived in London. Practically on the same day as war was dc-'lfirml she joined up as a nurse, for which profession she had been trained at QiiP'.'ii Alexandra's Hospital, nnil wms speedily transferred to France. Her flcal.li occurred from influenza] pneumonia.
