After two daye' play in the Country Week cricket tournament at the Domain the positions of the teame in the competition for the Hellaby Cup were:—Pukekohe (holders) and Thames, 8; Waipa and Rodney, 5; Waihi, Rangitaiki and Hamilton,

2. Auckland ia not eligible and has entered a team only to provide a game daily for the bye team, which, however, counts any points earned against the City XI. The leaders, Pukekohe and Thames, were drawn as opponents for the third round to-day.

A gallant fight was put up by the Waihi side, which has been struggling to field a full toam. Although W. J. and R. Dunning put on well over 100 for Rodney'e opening partnership, the southerners were beaten by 18 runs only.

The outstanding efforts yesterday were the hat-trick by 1!. Morgan, the Thames captain, nsninst KivngitniKi: W. Kennie's seven for 41 for Thames against Auckland, and D. Blnkc'e 84 for I'ukekohe against Wnipa—a knock which included two sixes nnd ten fours.
