Heavy rain throughout the night, which continued during this morning, makes, resumption vd the Canterbury v. Otago Plunket Shield match appear to be impossible. If bo, Canterbury will win on the first innings.
No play wae possible on Boxing Day. Canterbury -was in a commanding position at the end of Monday's play, having scored 374 and 30 for two wickets against Otago's first innings total of 249.
