TROTTING CLUB'S SUMMER MEETING

Large Crowd Of Racegoers At Epsom

A large crowd gathered at Epsom to-day for the opening of the Auckland Trotting Club's Centennial summer meeting, and the warm weather, together with the holiday spirit, encouraged racegoers to wear their light and attractive new summer models.

Stripes and floral designs in all sizes and shapes were a feature of the gowns worn, and originality was to be seen in the lints, which ranged from the tiny pancake and upturned Breton to the largo Mexican summer straw. Colour in accessories made an attractive touch of smartness, and ehoes in all shades added to the gaiety of the parade.
