NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. Fine weather favoured the opening of the laranaki Jockey Club's Christmas meeting at Xew Plymouth to-day. Outsider of the field on tho straightout machine, Lady Jim started the day with a surprise, in winning the Rahotu Hurdles.
