WHAT FUN WE HAVE

APPLE FEAST.

The players are divided into couples and each given an apple and a knife. At a signal the first player in each couple peels the apple. The second eats it. The first couple to finish wins the game, and perhaps a prize too.

TRICK WITH SHOES. Place two chairs in the centre of the ropm. Ask any member of your audience to take off his slices and jump over them. If he says he can't, that's the time for you to show 'linn, how easy it is. Take off your shoes and jump over them. There! Tha&'s all there is to it. The chairs have nothing to do the trick. They're just put in to maKe it seem hard! HERE, FIDO! One player is Fido and stands blindfolded in the centre of the room with the others in a circle about him. One at a time they say, "Here, Fido!" while he tries to guess the name of the speaker. If he is correct in his guess the two players change places and the game goes on. If he is not correct he must try again.

ORANGE RACE. Place a basket of oranges at one side of the room and ask the players t-o line up on the other side. At a sipnal the players run to the basket. Each takes an orange and carries it back across the room on the backs of his hands. A prize is given to the children who do not lose their oranges during the race. PARTY PICTURES. The guests write their names on sbeeta of paper and put them in a basket witi the blank sides up. Eaeh guest, Mindfolded, draws a sheet. He or she irjust then draw a picture of the person whose name appears on it. When the pictures are finished they are exhibited. ROOTING. Rootinjr is such a jolly game at a party. Divide the players into small teams —about three in a team. A balcony, spacious room, or summer house is an excellent place to play this game. Get all kinds of little flat booklets, balloons, party favours squeakers, etc., and hide them in every

place you can think of, the nearer the iloor the better. Between the pages of books, under covers, beneath carpets, beneath chair seats, and so on, offer some good hiding places. Now let your team into the room, from which, of course, you have removed all breakable ornaments, etc. Small children love this game, and will "root" to their hearts' content. Of course, the team which finds the most presents wins the game.
