A Jolly Spinning Top
What fun you're going to have with this jolly top! This is how you make it. Cut out the figure shown here and paste it on fairly thin cardboard. When the paste is dry, fill in the colours with either paints or crayons. Dark blue the outside band, vellow for the next hand, dark blue for H the third band, and * for the centre use bright red. Now trim the edges of the figure very carefully with a pair of scissors. Now get a used match and . sharpen the burnt end to a point. Push •the match, point first, through the dot jin the centre, and your top is ready Ito spin.
