OBITUARY.

MR. W. G. HARP. A -well-known Hamilton resident, Mr. William Gibbons Harp, has died at Pahiatua, at the age of 87. Born at Smale'e Point, Anokland, Mr. Harp had a varied life, during which he was occupied aucceseively a« a carpenter, storekeeper, engineer, coaehmaster, farmer and fireman. He helped to form the Devon port fire brigade in 1895, and served with it for nine years. He fe survived by one son and four daughters. MRS. F. E. LOWE. The death has occurred of Mr«. Margaret Lowe, wife of Mr. F. E. Lowe, of St. Helier'e. Mrs. Lowe was born at Mauku 60 yearn ago, and waa well known after her marriage at Otorohanga and Frankton, where her husband was a school teacher. During the war she gained the badge and certificate of the Red Cros* Society. Keenly interested in croquet, ehe was the oiily life member of the St. Helier'a Clt»b. Mrs. Lowe is survived by her husband, two sons and a daughter. .
