Two more Sheffield Shield cricket matches were started in Australia yesterday . At the Adelaide Oval South Australia (holder of the trophy) amassed 563 for four wickets, against Queensland. Centunes were scored by Bradman 138, Ridings 121, and Badcock 172, not out. At the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Victoria was dismissed by New South Wales for 280 (Tairtblyn 58, Johnson 41, Hassett 33). Bowling: O'Reilly four for 75, Pepper three for 91.
