SMALLER FORCES.

DOMINION SOLDIERS.

Overseas Divisions To Be Limited.

AIR AND INDUSTRY FIRST. United Prfxs Association.—Copyright. (Received a p.m.) LONDON', December 22. Highly placed authorities indicate that in view of the huge Dominions' air and industrial efforts and the uncertain position in the Far East, it is considered unlikely that the Dominions will supply as many divisions for overseas service as in the last war. This, it is stated, might mean a substantial reduction in the number of the Dominions' expeditionary soldiers, because the numerical strength of a single British division is considerably smaller than in the last war. The fire power is, however, greater. Mechanisation has reduced the numbers in the front line, but has greatly increased the numbers required in support in order to keep one man in the front line.
