AMUSEMENTS.

ROXY—TIVOLI. "Off the Record," a thrilling newspaper story, heads the double-feature programme i to be shown to-morrow for the first time ( at the Eoxy and Tivoli Theatres. Starring Joan Blondell and Pat O'Brien, the film is also notable, it is stated, for the performance of Bobby Jordan, erstwhile "Dead Knd Kid," who might be singled out as the most successful of that combination of youngsters. Alan Baxter, William Davidson, -loe King and Morgan Conway arc others in the cast. This is far removed from the usual run of newspaper pictures, for its interest is not limited to the professional exploits of its central characters. Bobby plays the role of an under-privileged youngster who runs foul of the law. No one is apparently interested in him until his case attracts the attention of a sympathetic girl reporter. He is eventually sent to a reform school, but she contrives to get him paroled. But the boy's brother escapes from and again there is trouble for Bobby. There is an exciting climax. Second on the bill is "The Frontiersman," one of the Clarence K. tales, which gives William Boyd another of the ever-popular Hopalong Cass id y roles. AMUSEMENT GUIDE. CIVIC SQUARE —Amusement Park.
