WINGS TOUCH.
'PLANES IN FLIGHT. . LANDED WITHOUT MISHAP. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The wing tips of two Vickers Vildebeeste aeroplanes from Wigram aerodrome were slightly damaged when the machines touched while, flying in clouds above Riccarton to-day. The machines "•ere engaged in formation flying when they touched. The pilots quickly regained their equilibrium and, although an aileron on one machine was damaged, both aeroj lanes were landed without mishap. The machines will in all probability be back in the air to-morrow.
The officer. commanding at Wigram, Wing-Commander Hodgson, said that similar mishaps, although uncommon, had occurred before, and then also the damage was slight and the machines were successfully landed.
