A communique reveals attempts bv tribesmen on the north-west frontier to start a rising in Afghanistan simultaneously with the outbreak of war in Europe.
. " This was probably inspired by foreign influence,* the communique added. ° Three border villages were threatened Atghan troops checked the raiders, who withdrew.
