In applying the St. John sling, the elbow is brought slightly forward. Therefore it is necessary to press the elbow backward as in Fi<*. G6 (above) before applying the broad bandage round the waist. In this illustration we take pleasure in introducing for the first time our demonstrator, Corps Officer S. K. Sehofieid, by whose help thousands of young New Zealanders are gaining valuable knowledge about first aid work.
