ELDERLY WIDOW'S DEATH.
"LEFT HOME HAPPY."
A verdict that death was due to shock following upon her immersion in the water, but that there was no evidence to show how she came to be in the water was returned bv the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, to-day at the adjourned inquest into the death of Rose Hannah tennis, widow, aged 74, who resided at -8, Karaka Street. Xewton. Deceased died in the Auckland Hospital on August
Evidence was given that at 3.45 p.m. on August 20, Stanley George Webb, a crane-driver, noticed a woman floating in the harbour near the Queen's wharf and close to the ferry tee. She was recovered and conveyed to the Auckland Hospital, where she died next dav Evidence was given by the woman with whom deceased lived that on August 26 when she left home she appeared to be very happv. She had never expressed any intention of committing suicide. She had been treated for heart trouble and had been an inmate of the Auckland Infirmarv for tour months prior to April last. "
