MONTHLY DANCE.
COUNTIES' ASSOCIATION.
BIRMINGHAM AND MIDLAND.
The Birmingham and Midland Counties Association held their monthly dance and social at the Fabian Rooms, Lower Queen Street, last night. It took the form of a "hard-up" eveniug. The president, Mr. H. V. Hampton, presided. The guests of the evening were Mr. Harvey, president of the Devon and Cornwall Association, and Mrs. Harvey; Mrs. Cantwell, secretary, and Mr. Cantwell, also of the same society; and Mrs. Bibby, Mr. and Mrs. Ratcliffe, of the Lancashire Society.
Entertainment was provided by Messrs. Neville and Eric, banjo ukelele and guitar, and by Mr. Eade, harmonica solos.
Prizes were awarded as follows: — Ladies, Mrs. Forrest 1, Mrs. Hughes 2 Mrs. Rawley 3; men, Mr. Hampton l' Mr. Hughes 2, Mr. Hill 3; girl, Margaret Hill; boy, Master George Fowler. Luckv number prizes were won by Mrs. Bo»ves and Mr. H. Dove. Monte Carlo prizes were won by Mr. Vanderholmn and Mrs. Woodrope.
Mr. F. Bowes was master of ceremonies and Madam Dunn the pianist. An excellent supper was served by the committee, the hostess beinn- ilrs Hughes. °
