HIGHER PAPER PRICES.
Associated Pulp and Paper Mills, Ltd., of Burnie, Tasmania, has increased the I prices of its products since the outbreak of war in Europe to the level which the company advised the Tariff Board it was intended to lift them if the protective duty applied for was granted in full. Announcing this at the annual meeting of shareholders in Melbourne, the chairman, Sir Walter Massie-Greene, said it was estimated that the increased price would give shareholders a reasonable return on capital and enable provision to be made for reserves and amortisation.
