When the Auckland provincial open > snooker championship was continued last ' night two matches were played in continuation of the first round. M. D. White defeated G. J. Goodhew by two straight same*, the scores being 62—20, 09 —3(5. White made a break of 22. I In the second match G. Rateliflfe de- j feated J. W. P. Harrison by two games, the seores being 70—18, 55—26. The second game ended in a tie, the scores being 53-all. j To-night A. Moon will meet B. North, I and C. A. Smith will play W. Thompson. I
