BRUCE CLIFFORD-JONES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH. Sunday. The parents of Pilot-Officer Bruce Clifford-Jones, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Clif-ford-Jones, of New Plymouth, received a cablegram notifying them that their son was missing. Pilot-Officer Clifford - Jones was a Taranaki tennis champion and reached the semi-final of thi* year's Royal Air Force tournament at Wimbledon.

Xew Zealand's first casualty was Flving-Officcr Laurence Hugh Edward-, formerly of Patea, and "a Taranaki Rugby representative footballer, who was reported missing while undertaking Royal Air Force patrol duties.
