GOOD AUGURY HAD TOUR BEEN CONTINUED.

VISIT OF SYDNEY CLUB,

A further invitation for a visit to Auckland was sought bv the South Sydney Club, one of the strongest teams 111 Sydney. 1 lie letter stated that the team had performed well in the semifinals but had not reached the top of the championship table. South Sydney has visited Auckland on two occasion's previously, and held the finest championship mcord in Sydney. Mr. Campbell said the formal invitation had been to the club winning the New South Wales championship, and it was decided to convey this decision to South Sydney. It was decided to plav the final of the Stallard Cup competition in the senior reserve grade between Otahuhu and Kichmond next Saturday week. The Xew Zealand Rtigbv League advised the transfer of A. Phillips from IPi ku ran pi to Auckland. He was registered with the Otahuhu Club. A. j. .Johnson was registered as a play in" memlx'r of the North Shore Club.
