AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP.
At the provincial open snooker championship last night three matches were played, the results being :— T. Tierney beat C. Spalding by two games to one. The scores were: 74—39. 42-—44, 63—36. Tierney made a break of 29. TV. Knott beat E. C. Sutton by two games to one. the scores being: 25—43, sS—ll. 52—39. W. Thompson beat J. Black by two games to one. The scores were : 55—25, 66—15, 45—56. To-night's games: C. A. Smith y. C. Fletcher. 7 p.m.; B. V. Roberts v. A. Crossan, 5.30 p.m.
