WELLINGTON LOSES.
TEAM WORK INFERIOR TO AUCKLAND. 14 POINTS DIFFERENCE. The representative Rugby League match between Auckland and Wellington, which was played 011 Saturday, was an illustration of the standard of play in the two centres, and an Auckland victory by 23 points to f) was a fair reflection of the full run of tlie game. In forward play only did the visitors hold their own. Their forwards were heavy, fast and mobile and at times weie impressive with their speed in loose play. But when the Auckland •backs got the ball it was another story, and Auckland speed and combination carried the day.
