GERMAN STEAMER SAILS.
IBy Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. \ The German steamer Erlangen sailed on Saturday for New York via ports. The Erlangen, which is a vessel of tilOl tons, loaded skins and wool for New York. She was scheduled to sail on Friday but was delayed through insurance covers not being made available for consignments of skins for a British company, resulting in the principals here deciding not to let the shipment go forward. The shipment was unloaded and the vessel sailed for Tort Kembla to bunker with about 1700 tons cf coal. Thence she will proceed to New Caledonia for ore. Rumours that the vessel had taken aboard crude oil in New ZeaI land were denied by the agents.
