MR. TENUI WEREHANA.

TUAKAU, Friday.

The death has occurred of Mr. Tenu: Werehana, a well-known Maori of the Tuakau ' district and a former native constable at Ngaruawaliia and Tauranganui Pa. Mr. Werehana was more generally known as Mr. .Tack Wilson, and originally came from Hawke's Bay. He is survived by his wife and seven children.

| MRS. H. L. DAVYS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, Friday. The death has occurred of Mrs. Har-' riett Langdon Davys, a well-known Cambridge resident, aged 83 years. She came to this district in 1900. MrsDavys was born at Treborougli, Somerset, England, and left London with her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Langdon Norman, in 1863 in the sailing ship Tiptree. They arrived at Auckland 'in February, 1864. She married the late Mr. Henry John Davys in 1878. Mrs. Davys was the second cousin to Sir George Williams, the founder of tli* Y.M.C.A. She was closely associated with the affairs of St. Andrew's Church. Mr. Davys died some years ago and sht is survived by one son]! Mr. H. E. Davys, and one daughter, Mrs. A. Holmes. MRS. E. BEATXY. The death has occurred of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Beatty, of Remuera, widow of the late Rev. A. M. Beatty. Mrs. Beatty came to New Zealand from England years ago, and seven years later was married to Mr. Beatty* who was then Presbyterian minister at Ashburton. Later the couple moved to Patea, am then to Mangere, where Mr. Beatty diet, in 1908. Mrs. Beatty moved to Remucri. where for nearly 30 years she was member of St. Luke's Presbvteriar Church. MR. ROBERT MILLAR. Mr. Robert Millar, whose death hat occurred, was for 29 years Vice-Consul for Norway at Auckland. He was 7:> years of age. * Born at Rotterdam of British parents. Mr. Millar camc to New Zealand in 1881. He was employed by the Union Steam Ship Co., Ltd., for 22 years, and held the positions of branch manager at Papeete and Greymouth. In, | 1903 lie established the firm of Millar and Company, merchants, and was appointed Vice-Consul for Norway in 191' L During the Great War he also represented Denmark, and for a time Iceland as well. For a period lie was Auckland agent for the Tongan Government. In
