THE DIVING CAT.
(Copied by Maureen Kelleher, Faulkner Road, Northcote.) Cats do not often like water, but from New South Wales comes a story of a diving fisher cat. Rastus is his name (surely he is black) and he lives at Berowra Waters in a bungalow with a verandah built over the water.
Rastus, like all good cats, is fond of fish and mullet abound at Berowra from time to time. Long ago," Rastus overcame any fears he may have had about water and practice has made him a perfect diver. When Rastus comes to the surface, there is usually a fish in his mouth.
