DUE IN ENGLAND MONDAY

RECALL NOT CONSIDERED.

Asked to-day whether, in view of the international situation there had been any suggestion of recalling die New Zealand Rugby League team from England. Mr. W. O. Carlaw. secretary of the Dominion controlling body, said the matter had not been eon'ydered.

"Of course, if war broke out we would have to get thr-m back as quickly as we could," said M>. Carlaw. "That is, if the authorities would allow them to leave England,'' he added.

A routine meeting of the Xew Zealand Rugby League is to be held to-night.

The English programme covers 27 marches, and after completion on December 16 it is intended that the -team should tour France. The managers received a letter at Panama from the English Rugby Leacue offering to assist in the finance of the French portion of the tour, which has not yet been drawn up.
