CONTROL OF GAME.
A meeting of the Auckland Rugby League Boartl of Control was held last evening, the chairman, Mr. G. Grey Campbell, presiding. Mr. Campbell said it was hoped to make a statement in connection with the proposed Wellington v. Auckland match, but negotiations had not been finalbred. although there was every prospect that the fixture would be played in the near future. Permission was granted the Maori Control Board the use of Carlaw Park to play the second challenge match next Thursday between Auckland and Taranaki for the Waitangi Shield. The following applications for playing membership were approved:—J. Gregory, Manukau; A. Gray. Papakura: H. Roxburgh, V. T. Rutherford, Ponsonby.
The transfer of E. T. Mincham from Mount Albert to Richmond was approved.
