One row of seats will be built in around the wall and it is hoped that the rest of the seating will be on individual chairs. ' T -

An assembly hall has been needed at the school for some years, but the neceassary finance has not been available. Earlier in the year the Government made a grant of £2000 toward the cost of the hall and a further £1000 was found by tbe Grammar Schools' Board of Governors, the school itself and the Ex-Pupils' Association.

The new hall when completed will completely fill the quadrangle formed by the three wings of the school.
