BOOM IN NUDISM.

50,000 IN BRITAIN.

"CLOTHES OFF" HOLIDAY.

CONDITIONS TIGHTENED VP.

(Special—By Air Mail.)

LONDON, July 22.

More than 50,000 people in Britain have made arrangements to spend their summer holidays at nudist clubs this year and the British "wear no clothes" movement is enjoying a record boom.

"We have every bed, and every tent site booked up for the rest of July and for the whole of August," an official of a popular nudist holiday club in the West of England said this week. Owing to the boom several clubs have found it desirable to tighten up the conditions under which they accept new members. Determined to clean up nudism of any undesirable elements they now require would-be members to fill up an exhaustive questionnaire and refuse pointblack to admit married' men without their wives.

A sharp look out R kept for picture snatchers, and for men who take girls to camps in order to photograph them in the nude. Activity of this kind usually results in a request to leave, ae many clubs have had complaints from members about the improper use of nudist pictures taken by visitors.

Nude dancing has been banned at every residential club but one.
