At the usual weekly sale of Ceylon tea held at Colombo on A Must 15, the quantity placed under offer amounted to 1,750,000 pounds weight. Quality from the Maturataa and Uva estates were fine, while others were good. At the.sale there was an active demand with most sorts generally dearer, especially where fine quality, was offered. Actual price alterations showed a firm market on Commons and Price Broken Orange Pekoes.
