OVER-SUBSCRIBED.
POWER BOARD LOAN

HAMILTON, Wednesday
A statement that the Central Waikato Electric Power Board's loan of £12,500 which had been offered to the New Zealand public at 4} per cent had been oversubscribed was made by the secretarytreasurer, Mr. H. J. Beeche, at a meeting of the board to-day. The money is required for carrying out reticulation extensions throughout the board's area. Sums ranging from £100 to £2000, and averaging about £500, were received. When the loan was first offered two months ago there was some delay in the receipt of subscriptions, but during the last month money haa been offered readily.
