CROQUET.
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. Officers elected at the annual meeting of the Auckland Croquet Association, the membership of which is over 1000 :—President. Mrs. A. H. Keening; vice-presidents. Mesdames J. Clarke, E. A. Robertson and Parker Hill; honorary secretary, Mrs. A. Finch ; executive, Mesdames Jackson. Aughton, J. C. Badeley. T. M. Macdonald, C. J. Blakey, Coxhead. W. H. Keatley; delegate to the New Zealand Croquet Council, Mrs. A. Finch ; representative, Mrs. A. H. Keeslng; handlcappers. Mesdame? B. A. Robertson and C. Webber: honorary auditor, Mr. J. Thornes ; referee, Miss E. H. Keatley.
It was decided to start inter-club matches on October 24, and play until December 12, resuming again on February 6. It was announced that the English and Australian croquet players would visit Auckland on December 18 and play for the M. C. Robertson Shield, and that on Jannary 15 the Centennial doubles and singles competitions will be staged.
