WANGAJTUI TRACK. SMOKE SCREEN'S PROGRESS. (from Our Own Correspondent.) WANGANUI, Tuesday. Some interesting work was done on No. 1 track tliis morning, the going being good, although dead after heavy overnight lain, Submission putting up a very tine performance in a run over five furlong-'. D. T. Marks came in from Kordell with Smoke Screen. Russian Ballet. Scandal and Red Cat- his probable team for the Wanganui meeting. Smoke Screen ran the first half of a mile in .Vis. hitting out boldly.being anxious to go faster, but finished tip at half pace. 'I he Limond gelding races well fresh and if he trains on all right he should be forward enough to make things interesting in his Wanganui engagements. Russian Ballet, looking bright and well, was given a similar task, but she was allowed to set a faster pace over the first half, which she left behind in 53V45.

Scandal sprinted home from the threefurlong peg in 40%5. He was wide out and was not ridden out. The Bulandshar adding is engaged in the Guineas at Wanganui. Red Cat was given easy exercise.
