PROPERTY LAW BILL.
(By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Property Law Amendment Bill, in charge of the Attorney-General, Mr. Mason, has. been returned from the Statutes Revision Committee of the House of Representatives with a number fit amendments, mainly of a machinery character.
A new clause materially alters the procedure where a mortgagor has defaulted and the mortgagee has secured permission to exercise the right of sale. A new clause give? a mortgagor the opportunity of remedying default before the date of sale, and he must pay any expense which has been incurred in this respect. The registrar may postpone the date fixed for sale for one month if there is a prospect of settlement.
