ARMY CANDIDATES.
OFFICER APPLICANTS.
Applications were recently invited throughout New Zealand from officers with not les& than three years' commissioned service to fill 18 vacancies in the Regular Forces. A large number of applications were received and the men were interviewed in Auckland yesterday by Colonel. R. Miles and Colonel O. H. Mead. Candidates must be physically fit and aged not lees than 21 years or more than 'So years, except in cases of officers who have had active service experience, or who have served as commissioned officers in a regular unit or corps. The period of appointment will be for not less than IS months or more than four vears and a half.
