LIQUOR AFTER HOURS.
OFFENCE AT HOWICK.
For selling , liquor after hours, William Benjamin Taylor, licensee of the Marine Hotel, Howick, waa yesterday fined £4 and costs in the Otahuhu Police Court before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M. Senior Sergeant Daly said the local constable saw a car puil up at the hotel gate, and after talking with the licensee two bottles of beer were purchased. Counsel for defendant, Mr. McVeagh, said his client had a splendid record, and had only recently taken over the hotel.
