WEATHER FORECAST.

FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton. Kawhia and Tauranga:— Strong and squally, westerly winds. Weather still changeable, with occasional showers and possibly thunderstorms. Moderate temperatures. Seas very rough on the west coast and rather rough on the east coast. A series of shallow westerly depressions continues to cross the Dominion. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-west, fresh to strong; sea, moderate; weather, showery, with intervals of sunshine; visibility, fair; barometer, rising.
