NOT IN IRELAND!

I.R.A. LEADER IN CHICAGO

CHICAGO, August 13

The head of the Irish Republican Army, "General" Sean Russell, is in Chicago at present. In an interview he said the bombings in English cities were the only method of enforcing the withdrawal of the British from Ireland.

"Experience has taught us that no concession can be obtained from Britain except through force of arms," said Russell.

Armed police in Eire, Ulster and Britain conducted extensive searches for the "general" last week owing to reports that he had landed in Ulster from a German ship.
