Canon (.'. A. B. Watson left last evening for Wellington by the Limited express to attend the annual meeting of the Board of Minions.

The Hon. Mr. Justice Blair returned last evening to Hamilton by the express, to continue presiding at the Supremo Court session there.

Dr. P. ]'. Lynch lias retired from the position of honorary t-eeretary of the Wellington Division of the Cancer Campa:g:i. He has held the post for 10 year- and hat- been replaced bv Dr. K. B. Bridge.

Captain L. \auphan Morgan, who was iormcrly the second naval member of the New Zealand Naval Board, has been appointed to command the Royal Sovereign in the 2nd Battle Squadron. Home Fleet. He is succeeding Captain J. W. S. Dorlincr.
